It has been reported by a few riders that Battersby Plantation is damaged by forestry machines. Be careful next time you use the lane.
    Very Happy

    Any photos welcome.

No photos I'm afraid but Battersby Plantation is a mess - went up there this morning and at about half way up it is axle deep mud. We gave up not wanting to waste time, we came back down to Battersby to progress onto the moors by road and passed five 4x4 vehicles heading up to Battersby Plantation - we advised them of the damage but they were keen to carry on and will no doubt have made the situation worse. Apparently, the Forrestry Commission have been told to stop work after their activities caused the spring water for the local village to become discoloured by mud!
