    Walna Scar Road TRO

Post  Admin on Fri Aug 27, 2010 7:32 am

Its perhaps not as bad as originally thought as it is just a small section of the tarmac lane on the seathwaite side.
    see TRO notice:

    CUMBRIA COUNTY COUNCIL

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U5033 WALNA SCAR ROAD, SEATHWAITE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2010

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to repair a storm damaged road, the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U5033 Walna Scar Road, Seathwaite from a point approximately 645 metres north east of the junction with the U5032, extending in a generally south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 100 metres.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

NB: Access to Bridleway No: 521058 will NOT be maintained.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 26 July 2010 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for 1 week.

Dated the 22 day of July 2010
