    Hello from Redcar

    Post  RDJ46 on Sun Jun 24, 2012 9:56 pm

Hi, just thought I would introduce myself, I am Richie from Redcar.
I have rode road going superbikes for years but recently decided to wrap it all in after seeing an accident. I do still have my track bike, GSXR1000 but I have recently bought an RMZ450 as I have always fancied trying trail riding. My mate bout a KTM 450 and we had our first run out today. He is from Stockton so we met at Stokesley. We headed up to Swainby where another friend lives and set off on the trip out.
About an hour later, we had travelled less than 5 miles, it was clear that we did not have a clue where we were going whatsoever! We were on the wrong trails, mainly in farmers fields with the sheep. I think the trick to Trail Riding is knowing which roads we are legally allowed to ride on.
We managed to get to the sheepwash at Osmotherley and from there, we just kept going and actually found Helmsley.
I have decided to join up and maybe get some pointers or join up with other folk on ride outs.
So, thats me and if anyone is having a run out, please can we come!!!!!!

If you attend the monthly meeting you will be able to get on a run out.

    Welcome to TRF Forum,
In regards to comment above, I work offshore and so far I have not been able to attend the monthly meeting.
I was still able to go on a run out last weekend but due to waether it was a poor turn out and poor conditions left us returning home early.
