    NERC Act Again

Post  petergj on Mon Sep 12, 2011 11:37 pm

Does anyone know how route through Rigg Mill wood to Long Rigg has become blocked by a NERC sign (and £1,000 fine) at Rigg Mill, just south of Stainesacre? Great shame - it has spoilt linking a couple of good lanes.

Also spoke to the very friendly farmer at Old Castle Farm (south east of Scaling Reservoir) who was angling for a new gate on his land. He also showed the way from his farm to High Whims which does not follow the route shown on OS maps, but runs parallel to it. He is pro bikes and worthwhile fostering his friendship.
