Lion Inn Blakey Ridge – 20 Foot Snowdrift Leads To Ultimate Lock in.

A twenty foot snow drift at the Lion In Blakey Ridge has lead to the ultimate pub lock in

Two pub patrons and five employees have been stuck inside the Lion Inn in Blakey Ridge, located in the North York Moors National Park, just outside Whitby.

Paul Crossland, the pub’s co-owner, put a warning on the Lion Inn’s website urging customers not to attempt to reach the building.

Katie Underwood, 18, who has been a waitress at the Lion Inn for four years, said: “The novelty is definitely starting to wear off.”

The Red Lion at Blakey ridge just outside Castleton is no stranger to winter blizzards and was in the news as recent as January this year with New Year Revellers becoming stuck in the pub for almost a full week.
